Some bras come with manufacturer washing instructions on the label, in which case, we would suggest following these. If none are provided we would recommend hand washing all wired garments in cool water. Washing in a machine can distort the wires and damage the bra, this can also cause the wires to break free of their channel, even on a gentle wash. If this happens it can seriously damage your washing machine or other clothing, leading to expensive repair bills.

Hot water can degrade the fabric of the bra leading to a loss of elasticity and/or change in colour. The use of fabric softener can also reduce the elasticity of the bra. We would recommend drying the bra away from a direct heat source such as a tumble dryer or radiator as these can also cause damage to the bra.
